La PC (Plata Coloidal), una vez administrada, no permanece más que unos minutos en la corriente sanguínea, pues es rápidamente absorbida por el sistema retículo-enloendotelial y depositada en las células del mismo, particularmente en el hígado y en el bazo y, hasta cierto punto, en los nodos linfáticos.

Hasta mediados del siglo pasado era común entre los médicos occidentales el uso de la Plata Coloidal para el tratamiento de decenas de enfermedades cuyo origen fueran virus, bacterias u hongos, o para ayudar a cicatrizar heridas y quemaduras.
